Membership Categories

There are four categories of membership available to best meet your needs:

Contractor Membership

Contractor Membership is open to companies primarily engaged in heating, ventilation, or air conditioning as contractors. This includes specialties in commercial light (under 25 tons), commercial heavy (over 25 tons), government, industrial, institutional, and residential sectors. 

Associate & Industry
Affiliate M
embership

Associate and Industry Affiliate Membership is open to manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, suppliers, utilities, and companies in the environmental systems industry. Engineers, architects, and other professionals with an interest in or who directly support the HVAC/R industry are also eligible. Membership is not available to retailers or suppliers who primarily sell to the general public. 

Inspector Membership

Inspector Membership is open to construction-related inspectors who are currently employed by a state, city, or municipality in Maryland, Washington D.C., or Virginia.

Teacher & Student
Membership

Teacher and Student Membership is open to certified instructors of approved secondary or collegiate-level HVAC/R programs, as well as individuals currently enrolled in approved secondary or collegiate-level HVAC/R programs in Maryland, Washington D.C., or Virginia.


Membership Dues for Lobbying Efforts: It is estimated that 15% of the membership dues is non-deductible due to lobbying efforts.
